A world wide web of information at our fingertips doesn’t automatically equate to wisdom.
You may be able to see the entire world through the eyes of your screen, but the web will never see into or understand the intricacies of your life and heart.
It’s the people around us who see us for who we truly are. These people (the ones we love and trust) are our second eyes. These are the people who see what we don’t see, but see what we need to see about ourselves.
And it’s those who pay attention to their ‘second eyes’ who are the ones who are truly wise:
‘If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise’ – Proverbs 15:31 (NLT)
Use your second eyes to your advantage. Listen to those who love you and want the best for you, because if you do, you will be at home among the wise.
