God is calling you down a certain path. He is willing you on to take it!
Paul found his path. He was called to be an apostle (a church planter and messenger of God):
‘Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God’.
1 Corinthians 1:1 (NIV)
It was the ‘will’ of God that called him.
This word, ‘will’ in the original Greek language (thelema) means:
“God’s desire, or preferred outcome that can be accepted or rejected by man”.
Paul accepted the call of God, and adjusted his own plans to go down the path God laid out for him.
So the question is: Will you accept the call of God? Will you adjust your plans to go down the path that God has for you?
God desires that you would take it. That you would take whatever steps of faith are necessary, to count the cost and take the risk of laying down your fears, your past failures and all of your future plans for Him.
If you do, at the end of your life you will echo the words of Paul who said:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me – the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return”.
2 Timothy 4:7 (NLT)
Paul had run and finished his race. He had found the end of his path. He has received his prize! And now there is a prize waiting for you:
And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing (4:8)
